Could one consume jelly jam or say marmolaid  jam or is that breaking the rules.    Also what would warning signs be as time  to STOP. I am doing this on my own accord and not with a doctor.<br />

<p>If you add up the extra fat on your body then multiply it by about 3500 calories per day.  Then divide it by 1500 calories for the first week and 1200 calories for the second week and 1000 calories or less for the 3rd week then you can get an idea of how long you can fast on water.  As to juice you could live on it.  I heard of a guy who did 3 years to protest the War in Vietnam.   When you see a lot of ribs and when you sit down and feel bone then you are getting close to using all your body fat. At that stage the body&#8217;s metabolism will drop down to 600 calories per day.   The end of the human calorie reserves may be over 90 days for people with 40 lbs. of excess fat and a slow metabolism.</p>

If your body has less calories than your body need your body starts to detoxify detoxification. Technically, one glass of juice will end a water fast and any food will end a juice fast. <p>The more skilled I became at fasting, the more I changed between juice and water fasting.  I found the cleansing to be deep and during the water there was no hunger.  I only craved juice.</p>
<p>Alternate between water and juice fasting is great when you need the energy to work or get things done. So when I was working I juiced, then water fasted for the weekend and just laid around in bed and read or relaxed. The most energy I out out was a relaxing walk.</p>
<p>By cleansing with juice first, water fasting is more comfortable. Water fasting should always include two of three days of juice fasting before and after the water fast. This alternating between juice and water fasting is the most effective method of achieving a full cleansing through fasting.</p>
<p>It is possible to start a seven-day water fast with a thirty-day juice fast. I accomplished this twice and experienced an indescribable peak that lasted for three days by drinking fresh-made juice after the water fast.  Definably the most incredible fasting experiences of my life.   After 7 days of water fasting the juice hit my blood like drug.  In seconds, my body flooded with energy and I jumped on the bicycle and hit the hills with ease.  There was no fatigue just the energy that kept coming with this clean, connected to everything, oneness better than any drug high.</p>

<p>Drink according to the needs of your body. It is common to drink only 2-3 glasses of water per day. The concept of drinking large amounts of water to flush out toxins is not valid. During water fasting, digestion is not required, and the body needs only a small amount of water for its processes. I believe that excessive liquid intake reduces scouring action and disturbs the detoxification process.</p>
<p>Avoid water straight from the faucet. Distilled water is the best for cleansing because of its inherent, magnetic properties and its ability to absorb and suspend large quantities of toxins, flushing them from the body. The perceived value of mineral water is misleading because the inorganic minerals are like huge boulders to the cellular membranes, impossible to assimilate by the cells. Distilled water is best followed by spring or filtered water. A Brita Filtration System is inexpensive and effective, but change the filter regularly. You can also add freshly squeezed lemon juice and a teaspoon of honey if the water fast becomes too difficult.</p>
<p>When water fasting, drink when thirsty. Your body has a homeostatic mechanism that triggers thirst when the body needs liquid. On a water fast, I drink small amounts of water but in a juice fast, I like is a few quarts a day to keep up my energy for work.</p>
<p>During a juice fast, more juice intake means more calories and more energy. Drinking less juice means more intense detoxification and less energy. Working 14 hours a day of hard physical labor may require the calories of three cantaloupes or honeydews, one watermelon, plus herbal tea with honey and a vegetable juice combination. That is a lot of juice. If you do not have to work at hard physical labor, you can cleanse more quickly by drinking smaller amounts of juice.</p>
<p>Be careful not to drink too much watermelon juice in the morning. Gastric secretions are also waking up to activity. Too much acidic juice early in the morning may cause stomach cramps.</p>
<p>When water fasting, less water intensifies the detoxification. I usually try one or two days fasting on the minimum amount of water by sipping the water. This type of fasting is very difficult but the results are amazing. Especially if you are praying! It gives you a feel of what Christ went through when he fasted in the desert.</p>
